NFL best stats and records: Travis Kelce achieves career-high for Kansas City Chiefs as Lamar Jackson enjoys perfect day

Sky Sports Cricket statistician - and big Buffalo Bills fan - Benedict Bermange dives into the 2024 NFL season to pick out the best stats from each week...

Lamar Jackson had his fourth career game with a perfect 158.3 passer rating as the Baltimore defeated the Denver Broncos, equalling Ben Roethlisberger's NFL record for the most such games.

The Ravens joined the 2000 Rams and 2013 Broncos as the only teams to have scored at least 20 points and gained at least 375 yards in each of their first nine games in a season. This week was their 42nd successive game with at least 100 yards rushing, just one game short of the overall NFL record.

Tyler Bass' game-winning 61-yard field goal against the Miami Dolphins was the longest in Buffalo Bills history, surpassing Steve Christie's 59-yard kick - also against the Dolphins - in 1993. Bass became the first player to miss an extra point and make a field goal of at least 60 yards in the same game.

The Washington Commanders defeated the New York Giants to improve their record to 7-2 for the first time since the 1996 season, when they missed the playoffs having finished with a 9-7 record. The also improved their record on fourth downs this season to 11/11.

Daniel Jones of the Giants meanwhile threw his first home touchdown pass in seven starts and at half-time had more touchdown passes (1) than passing yards (0).

Emari Demercado, Trey Benson and Trey McBride all scored rushing touchdowns for the Arizona Cardinals against the Chicago Bears in their 29-9 victory. It was the first time the Cardinals had three different players score a rushing touchdown in the first half of a game since December 2, 1923 when Art Folz, Ralph Horween and Bob Koehler all scored against the Oorang Indians.

After retiring from playing, Horween inherited his family's tannery business, and provided the leather used in NFL footballs for many years. He was also the first NFL player to live to the age of 100.

The Detroit Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers to improve to 7-1 for the first time since the 1956 season. Having been 3-25 at Lambeau Field from 1992-2021, the Lions have won their last three games on the road in Green Bay.

Kamren Kinchens had two interceptions in the fourth quarter as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Seattle Seahawks. His first was a 103-yard return for a touchdown, the longest defensive touchdown in Rams history, and the joint-fourth-longest Interception return in NFL history.

On Monday night the Kansas City Chiefs improved to 8-0 for the first time since 2013 as Patrick Mahomes extended his record to 6-0 in overtime games. Travis Kelce's 14 receptions - a career high - took him past Antonio Gates and into third place among tight ends in terms of receptions.
